Multicultural Holiday Celebration
with the Auburn Public Library
Literacy Volunteers-Androscoggin in partnership with the
Auburn Public Library held its first Multicultural Holiday Celebration
afternoon on December 7.
Included were:
Chinese New Year
Christmas Around the World
Eid-al
Adha
Hannukka
Intructions
on how to play the dreidel game.
Solstice
Each holiday was represented by a display, information about its history
or origin and one or two people who celebrate it. Activities and
crafts for each were also available. It was an opportunity to share
one's culture and have fun making a holiday item. A handout with a
recipe for families to make was available at each table. To download
